Tidy (Hardcover)

Staff Reviews
Pete really wants the forest to be clean--but he surely goes too far in this book that explores the consequences of single-minded vision gone awry. While Pete starts as a very helpful badger who wants his friends to be cleaner and therefore happier, his push for purity squeezes the life out of the forest and almost condemns himself and his friends to the ultimate kind of clean: sterile, lifeless, without them. Lots of discussions with readers are brewing here in this story that manages to wrap complex ideas in a short story.

Tidy loves to keep things neat! But the forest and those who live there are always getting messy! What's a badger to do!? This charming story is a great read for any parent looking to help their kids understand environmentalism and what happens when you clean up too much. The art style and characters are bright and engaging. This book has such a great message you'll be reading this one for a long time to come.
